We all know that weather reporting is not an exact science. Yet we are drawn to our local tv news station to hear what what the weather man (or weather person) has to say. We chose the name Weather Man Report versus Weather Person Report as the name the site based entirely on the number of total characters in the name. The number of weather women is on the rise and we hope not to offend anyone.

Weather reporting is one of the more popular features on every news broadcast. In fact the Weather Channel has taken the ball and run with it. The first cable channel to revolve around weather prediction 24 hours a day non-stop. The endless barrage of local, long range, national, and international weather forecasts are interesting to each of us even though many times they don't directly affect our daily life.

As we all know, some of the weather people can put on quite a show. In some cases they are actually accurate in their weather prediction. Although many viewers have come to realize that a large part of weather forecasting is guesswork. Your local tv personality interprets computer generated weather maps to develop his or her forecast. They then compile it together with statistics from previous years, yesterday's weather, current conditions, and some add lib. This is the tv weather forecast.
